My name is Taurell Reboulet. I hold a M.A. in Clinical Psychology from LIOS Graduate College of Saybrook University. Since the age of 16, I have taken a keen interest in how to help and support peoples’ growth which led to my first international trip to Nicaragua as a volunteer to help street kids struggling with drug addiction, malnutrition, and trauma. The past decade of my life has been dedicated to gaining knowledge and insight into the human condition first through my A.S. in Massage Therapy followed by Clinical Psychology. Through this degree I’ve learned how the human body handles stress, how to help support the release of stress, and reduce physiological pain in clients. Working as a massage therapist led to the realization that many interactions with clients were lacking elements of health relating to the mind and spirit. Thus the journey to gain the skills needed to help individuals become healthier and stronger in order to integrate all aspects of themselves, not just help release physical stress.
At the Evergreen State College, I focused my studies on the Humanities, taking multiple courses related to Psychology, Sociology, and Human Development. In addition to these studies I maintained a year long internship at the Crisis Clinic where I was able to help those in extreme states of crisis become stable and directed them to resources that would help them overcome issues. After completing my B.A., I traveled throughout the Western United States in search of a Masters program that had a humanistic perspective and included a more holistic and whole body perspective to mental health. The Leadership Institute of Seattle proved to be such a program and operated in my home state of Washington. Through this search period, I trained in the use of LENS Neurofeedback as an alternative method of reducing mood related disorders.
During my time at LIOS, I became an intern with reSTART Internet and Technology Addiction Recovery Program. My therapeutic technique is a combination of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Positive Psychology, Narrative Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy and Family Systems work. My passion and expertise is working with young men struggling with technology addiction, difficult life transitions, and mood disorders. My work with individuals, couples, and families help each person involved to become more whole by integrating, cultivating, and strengthening their known and unknown core personal attributes.
